Diaphragm Metering Pump Details

JAECO AGRI-FRAM diaphragm or Phram pumps offer accurate metering, dependable performance, and hassle-free operation for your agricultural applications.

Hydraulic balancing of the diaphragm and automatic air bleeding minimize fatigue and rupture. Our pumps feature separate chambers for hydraulic fluid and gear lubricant.

This innovative design optimizes diaphragm pulsation and gear lubrication for improved performance and durability. The results are better pump performance and longer pump life.

Our diaphragm pumps are available in simplex and duplex models and are field-convertible from simplex to duplex. Motor options include electric, gas, and belt-driven.

Diaphragm Metering Pump Models

JAECO diaphragm metering pumps come in simplex or duplex configurations. We also offer two distinct models (511 and 519) to match your specific application.

Simplex & Duplex Diaphragm Pumps

Simplex diaphragm metering pumps feature a single pumping head, making them cost-effective for lower flow rate applications. Duplex models utilize two pumping heads, providing higher capacity and the ability to handle higher pressures. The ideal configuration depends on your required flow rate (GPH) and desired pressure. Duplex is generally the better solution for maximizing both.

Models 511 & 519 Diaphragm Pumps

We designed our Model 511 and 519 diaphragm metering pumps to prioritize efficiency and reliability in specific applications.

Model 511: Precision and Power for High-Pressure Needs

  • Designed with small internal orifices to excel in high-pressure environments.
  • Ideal for applications where accurate dosing and precise fluid control are critical, even under pressure.
  • Provides unwavering precision and control when moving smaller volumes at high pressures.

Model 519: Capacity and Consistency for Large Volumes

  • Features larger internal openings to maximize pump capacity.
  • Perfect for situations where the priority is moving substantial amounts of fluid at lower pressures.
  • Provides efficient and consistent handling of large volumes.

Motor Options

Diaphragm metering pump with electric motor

Electric Motor

These motors are a common power source for interior diaphragm metering pumps. They are simple to use and readily available. This makes them a reliable choice for indoor pump setups.

Diaphragm metering pump with gas motor

Gas Motor

Gas motors power diaphragm metering pumps in remote locations without electricity. This makes them ideal for farms and job sites where power access is limited.

Belt-driven diaphragm metering pump

Belt-Driven Motor

This less-common power source connects a diaphragm metering pump to a tractor. It's ideal for use on remote farms or job sites with limited access to electricity or fuel.

Diaphragm Metering Pump FAQ

How does a diaphragm metering pump work?

A diaphragm metering pump uses a flexible diaphragm and check valves to move fluid. The diaphragm flexes back and forth, drawing fluid into the pump on one stroke and pushing it out on the other. This precise action ensures accurate and consistent chemical dosing.

What are the typical applications for diaphragm chemical pumps?

Many industries use diaphragm chemical pumps, including:

  • Water and wastewater treatment
  • Chemical processing
  • Agricultural spraying
  • Manufacturing
  • And many more

Are JAECO diaphragm dosing pumps easy to maintain?

Yes! Our diaphragm dosing pumps have low maintenance requirements. Key features like oil bath lubrication and self-cleaning check valves help to minimize downtime and service needs.

What is the advantage of having separate chambers for hydraulic fluid and gear lubricant?

JAECO diaphragm metering pumps feature separate chambers for hydraulic fluid and gear lubricant. Using the most suitable medium for each function improves hydraulic diaphragm pulsing and gear lubrication. Enhanced pump performance and extended life result from this design. The separation ensures optimal operation of each component, leading to reliable and efficient fluid movement.
